Our partner, Paul Bennett, regularly reviews books for the Law Society Gazette – the publication of record for the Solicitors Profession. Explore Paul’s review in more detail.
This book review relates to the professional bible on the law of equity, Snell’s Equity. This area of law is often knotty, complex and fact specific but as partnership law specialists we encounter it regularly. This latest edition is of a practitioner text which was first published in 1868 and is now in its thirty-fifth edition. It has stood the test of time.
Paul chose to review the book because of the recent trend of equitable issues arising in partnership disputes. Paul commented: “In recent years a number of equitable arguments have remerged as critical to partnership disputes and reviewing books, such as Snell’s Equity, is a fantastic way of maintaining my continuing professional development and of exposing myself to the leading professional texts which Judges and practitioners access on a daily basis in an in-depth manner. I really enjoy reviewing books for the Law Society Gazette.”
