Bennett Briegal Joins Forces With Shrewsbury Bid to Support Employers

Bennett Briegal LLP is delighted to have been selected by Shrewsbury Business Improvement District Ltd (Shrewsbury BID) to support its members through the Covid-19 maze of schemes and support for employers from the 1 April 2020.

The Shrewsbury BID team supports around 500 members within the loop of the River Severn within Shrewsbury.  It created the Original Shrewsbury branding, which is one of the reasons for the recent successes of tourism, hospitality and retail in the town.

Bennett Briegal partner, Paul Bennett commented:

“We were delighted to be invited to tender by the Shrewsbury BID board for the employment law support service.  We are thrilled to be providing this given my longstanding connections with the town in which I was born and brought up.  It has been a different and novel challenge to be ready within a few days to support a large number of local employers and it is one that Mark and myself have thrived on.

We believe in supporting the local economy and we are delighted to be involved in the BID’s ambitious plans to support their members.”

It is an unprecedented package of three months’ support for BID members who can access both template documents and general advisory factsheets, supplemented by video or telephone conferences with Bennett Briegal LLP partners.

In these strange times Paul and Mark wanted to support this novel initiative even though it is outside of their core professional services market given the importance of supporting our local communities at this stage and, whilst Mark is not local, in these highly unusual times we have taken on the project to support the economy of Shrewsbury given the connections which already exist due to Paul’s passion for his hometown.
